Mission accomplished!
My very first book, entitled blur: finding jesus in a fuzzy world has finally been released to the world, like an endangered snowy tiger cub… pushed out of the nest… or something.
In reality, it’s nothing like that, but having finally birthed this book out of my computerwomb, I think I can almost relate to that fictional mother tiger-bird, at least on some proverbial, nonsensical level.
For now, my book will be available for FREE in eBook (PDF) format, easily (and enjoyably!) readable on all computers that were born after 1990 or so.
My giddy ridiculousness is reaching an all time high, so in the interest of sanity, head over to joshAllan.com and download your copy today!
Click HERE or the book cover above to get your blur!
Thanks so much for reading and supporting my artistry!

P.S. If you or someone you know could help me get this book into good ol’ paper-and-ink form (there’s just something about a real book…), please email me!

“what would jesus do?” from GQ

congrats josh! that’s quite an accomplishment. i will download the book and check it out. way to go…
thanks stephen! love to have you stop back and tell us your thoughts after you read!
I wish i had your book in print…portably accessable at anytime i am available, ya know. I dont read too many books at all…in fact most times i sit down to read a book, im asleep in a couple sentences…but ive soaked in the first couple of chapters of you book in no time…but the problem is…my computer is not quite as portable.so i am not nearly as far as i would like, and all that jazz…im sure youll find a publisher! congrats on being able to focuz your mind on one topic for an entire book…that seems to be the problem with everyone i know who wants to write a book. My mother has always wanted to write one…but it is impossible for here to collect her thoughts, organizably.
On a different, off the record, kind of note…i saw you used the word, ‘nonsensical’ above..and ive only seen that word once before…..just recently, in a song. I thought Jon Foreman, may have made up the word…and there it is, you used it. By the way the song is, 4:12 by Switchfoot…a really awesome band, if you havent heard of them…’course your not to far from their home, so im sure you have…but anywho..another word you have used in the book, is a word i have just recently uncovered…Anomaly. i first discovered it when Incubus came out with the song, Anna-Molly..and i looked up the definition..and as a group…my band decided to use the term, just because it fit us, as our name…adapted to ‘Anomalie’… and sense then…just as your Scion, you talk about…ive seen, and heard that word…EVERYWHERE…its rather funny..because not only am i hearing it more frequently on TV…im hearing it in things ive seen and listened to before…its a bizzare phenomena…but anywho…i digress…rambling on and on, like Steve Martin on SNL…
Congrats, again on your book..and for having the same name as me… I wil let you know what i think when im finished..great sofar tho!
hey fellow JA… thanks for stopping by the blog! glad you’re enjoying BLUR! (and yes, I do love that Jon Foreman as well… what a great songwriter.)
Congrats, bro - I have it on my desktop and can’t wait to begin . . . Thanks for putting it out there!!
Have you been in touch with relevant books down here in FL?
BTW - are you going to be at Humana 2.08? Would you be interested in speaking here at a church gathering around the same time?
Hey Mark! Relevant was actually my first thought too (I freelance movie reviews for them online), but I was under the impression that they weren’t doing books anymore… do you know somebody over there? And i WISH i could come to HUMANA, but I’m not going to be able to make it down! If only Florida and California were neighbors…
